Nelson Hidalgo

Hi! I’m Nelson — a passionate tutor since 2017, lifelong learner, and current PhD student in Computer Science at MIT, where I focus on AI applied to mental health. I graduated from MIT in 2023 with a joint degree in Computer Science and Neuroscience. My journey hasn’t always been smooth — I started as an ESL student who scored in the 1st percentile on the SAT in 2017. But with dedication and the right support, I climbed to the 99th percentile in 2019, transferred from community college to MIT (through a process with less than a 1% acceptance rate), and graduated with a perfect GPA. Now, I bring that same growth mindset into my tutoring. I specialize in helping students build confidence and mastery in subjects like computer science, math, and neuroscience. 

Sebastian Gallo

Hi! I'm Sebastian — a dedicated tutor since 2016 and recent graduate from MIT, where I earned my Master's in Computational Science and Engineering. As an aspiring doctor and professor, teaching is more than a role — it's part of who I am. I hold a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami, where I co-founded UMaker, a hands-on robotics and 3D printing group. At MIT, I focused on computational neuroscience, machine learning, and data analysis — collaborating with Harvard Medical School to improve hospital ICU care. I’ve also conducted research at Stanford with a Nobel laureate, applied machine learning in industry under the former CTO of the FBI, and joined the Salzburg Global Leadership Seminar, where I met with UN leaders to discuss innovation and global problem-solving.
